SharpCap v4.1.14310.0, ZWO ASI676MM camera with the latest drivers from the ZWO website.
When I change the camera resolution so that either dimension is below 1500 pixels, the preview stops updating. However, image capture continues in the background — this can be seen from the histogram, which continues to update, and from the recorded files.
If I change the resolution back to more than 1500 pixels, the preview starts working normally again.
I have attached the log file.

Re: Preview freezes when changing ROI
Hi,
thanks for including the logfile - it always helps to get that straight away.
The log shows that 261 frames were received from the camera while you were in the 800x800 resolution mode (before you changed back to 3552x3552), so the camera is still delivering frames - this is also confirmed by the histogram updating. So, it seems that this is clearly a display update issue.
I think the first thing to try would be to update the drivers for your Intel graphics device - the log shows an Intel Iris Xe graphics adapter running driver version 27 on an 11th gen Intel processor :
There have definitely been problems before with issues with older Intel graphics drivers - at the time I think an update to version 30 helped, but I see that version 32 is now available - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... amily.html
If that doesn't help then there is an option in the main page of the SharpCap settings that lets you turn off Graphics card acceleration - that would also be worth trying (you need to restart SharpCap after changing that option for it to have any effect).
Hope this helps,
Robin

Hello, thank you very much! Updating the driver solved the issue. I'm using an older Huawei laptop, and driver updates for it are no longer provided automatically.

Re: Preview freezes when changing ROI
Hi,
glad to hear it worked. Weird though that it all works fine with the old driver and *high* resolution images, but not with lower resolution!
cheers,
Robin
