Adapting filename

#1

Post by Howardk »

I’m having a frustrating time….
I want to add exposure and gain to my filename when saving livestack raw images but it just want let me in settings

I have a red message which tells me i need datetime and index in planetary stacking snapshot filename but when i try adding these tags it will not accept them

What to do?

It is very convenient for me to see the exposure and gain settings in the filename as i often take different exposures and gains on the same object in the same night to compare

How can i make this so?

You need to change the filename in settings for the livestack (raw frames): line. this is what I use.

{DateTime:S}\{TargetName}\rawframes\frame_{Index}_{SubExposure}_{Gain}

I think you can copy and paste the filename into the correct line in filenames tab. Make sure the manual checkbox is set. You can always reset the settings for filenames tab and start again.

Problem is it won’t let me type in the filename box because i have a red warning about the filename in the planetary snapshot box being incorrect… and i can’t seem to make any changes that actually stick there and so the red warning remains!!

Robin…. To the rescue
