"Highlight Over Exposed" - make more presistant

AMAZING tool!

But it not only won't stay on between sessions or save in a shooting profile, it closes when you open the Histogram from Tools? WHY???

That will discourage its use. And those two tools should go together.

It would be easier to shoot better data if "Highlight Over Exposed" could be made by user to just stay on until turned off. At least for the whole session.

That is all.

Thank you!

Hi,

thanks for the feedback.

The limitation on having one tool or another (histogram _or_ highlight over exposed _or_ live stacking, etc) but not more than one is down to how these tools work inside SharpCap. That's not to say that changes couldn't be made to enable more than one at a time, but those will not be simple. I will wait for some more feedback to see if there are other use cases that similarly require two of the tools active at once to see how this might be changed in future.

cheers,

Robin

Even just without the histo, just having this one tool persistent until we turn it off, or until we start another tool maybe.

This can be enabled on good DSLR and my mirrorless camera, puts a red (or blue) Zebra Stripes or "marching ants" outline on anything blown out.

Called "Live Highlight Warning" or "(Zebra Stripes)"

I'm told a lot of pro photographers just leave it on most of the time.

Most good cameras now have that. It's so useful that it's on until you turn it off. It's a persistent display overlay in Live View.
