Hi Robin
I am using sequencer with great results. I use a start up sequence where several programs phd2, Siril and others are started by the step in sequencer. At end of night I manually close the different programs before powering down computer. Is it possible to close the programs with a sequence.
Thanks for the help

Re: Sequencer end program
Hi,
yes, you can do that, although indirectly...
'TASKKILL' is a windows command line program (it's installed by default in modern windows, no need to install anything). You can use it to close other programs from the command line, so you can launch it from the sequencer to close down the programs that you started earlier.
Documentation is here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windo ... s/taskkill - you probably want to use the /im option to specify the name of the programs to kill.
I have no idea how cleanly the program is shut down - it might be a rather abrupt close which may possibly cause issues the next time you restart the program, but worth trying to find out...
cheers,
Robin

Re: Sequencer end program
Taskkill normally does a normal shutdown like you would have if you clicked on the "X" in the corner, so it should be a clean shutdown. You just need to be sure you have saved anything that needs saving. If you use the -F parameter, it does a forceful shutdown, which likely won't be as clean.
