I just installed V 4.1.13800, and it hooks up to the camera for about a minute or so, then the software program shuts down. I restart and same thing happens.
Camera is a QHY 268C. What can I try?
Thanks
New update version keeps shuting down after1 or 2 mins

Hello and welcome
Could you provide the log file of that event?
Easiest way is to do what you described. Then Open SharpCap again, in the Menu-bar click Help, in the drop down menu click Show Log.
In that window, click Locate On Disk, click Ok in the warning window.
Windows Explorer will open and there you can choose the log file where the event happend.
Attach that log file on your reaction or copy and paste it.

Re: New update version keeps shuting down after1 or 2 mins
Hi,
I'm not seeing any uploaded bug reports so far for that version since the auto-update went live yesterday, so either this is a relatively rare issue or it is something that is causing SharpCap to crash in a way that the bug reporting cannot pick up - crashes that happen in camera vendor provided SDK code can behave like this from time to time.
As Menno says, sharing the log is a good thing, since it will show what you have been doing since you started SharpCap - however, I suspect it will cut off in the middle of nowhere when the application closes without warning
If it is as I suspect and there is nothing at/near the end of the log about an error, we will need to use a different tool to capture a crash dump of SharpCap when it dies - please follow the steps in this post - viewtopic.php?p=39396#p39396 - to generate the crash dump and send it to me.
thanks,
Robin
