Hi All.
So first atempt tonight at taking some videos on smartcap. Used the quick capture setting and took a few videos at 500 frames and 1000 frames.
Went to look at the after and cant seem to get them to open. Have a folder that shows SER files around the 3gb and 6gb range so appears to captured them ok.
When I go to open them after I choose "Folder monitor camera" then under the "Camera controls" on the right can select and browse the SER files I have taken and select. The nothing happens. The folder selected looks right, status say 6:6 assuming recognising the 6 videos I took. current frame is blank and "Next Frame" Just says waiting for next frame.
The play button is active. I can turn off and scroll through the frames and replay but nothing happens.
I just have the free version. Happy to buy the full version if it works but the demo is not looking good so far.
Im sure just something simple I have missed.
Any advice appreciated.

the 'Folder Monitor Camera' is designed for working with multiple still images (FITS, PNG, TIFF, etc) - it will not load SER files.
If you want to do that in SharpCap, the trick is to use 'Test Camera 2 (High Speed)' - that lets you browse for an image to be displayed *or* to select an SER (or even AVI - subject to compatibility requirements). SharpCap will then play back the video on a loop, allowing you to view it or test out other functions like planetary live stacking.
In up-to-date versions of SharpCap 4.1, you can just drag the .SER file into the SharpCap image area when there is no camera open and once you drop the file there, SharpCap will open it and start playing it back.
