I dont understand what is happening. I leave the Sigma Clipping alone and at its values as installed. I just finished stacking 20 frames for the Iris nebula and then went to a place in Cygnus. Started stacking and pow. NO frames will stack and all are ignored. Stars are brilliant and round and no wind tonight. It says it could not align. How could this be when it just aligned several other objects and their shots just fine. Now its pointing straight up and cant do it. Really frustrating.
If I reduce the exposure from 30s to 25s they stack but at 30 and above they do not. The cam is the183MC Pro on a hyperstar Meade LX600. And it has been performing fantastic. I have NEVER had rejected frames before other than on occasion when its windy. Sigma clipping settings are at 3 and 1 which I think are the defaults.
As soon as I go from 25 seconds to 30 it rejects every subsequent frame.
So how do I get my frames to stack? Suggestions?
Thank you,
Marc

Re: Stacking rejecting all frames after first
Hi Marc,
the things to check are the Alignment tab in live stacking (which will tell you about star detection status) and also the log tab, which will record any problems with alignment as each frame is processed. In particular check that a decent number of stars are being detected in both the frames and the stack.
If you have the raw frames saved then you could run those through the folder monitor camera and see if the problem repeats itself (in which case please share those raw frames with me and I will investigate further).
Also, it is sometimes worth pressing 'Reset' on the live stacking a second time if you get issues. The first frame is used as the key to align all the following ones, and if that is bad (mount still settling), it can cause problems.
cheers,
Robin
