Continues old stack

Is there any possibility of adding a "resume previous stack" option?

For example: you select the directory, SharpCap reads the "Stack_16bits_XXXframes_XXXXs.CameraSettings.txt" file, and resumes a stack the user was working on days ago? SharpCap would select the camera, exposure, and gain used, and then slew to the object (or open the catalog for selection).

Or list all the camera setting txt file" and make a list to the user select and continues the old stacks...!

Hmmm...Maybe I´ll try to do that using Sharpcap phyton.

Hi,

currently that's not possible since you can't save the state of a live stack in a way that can be restored again later, even using scripting. In theory this could be added, but it would be complex to do and it feels fairly 'niche' in terms of probably only being used by a small number of people.

What you can do is create multiple stacked images of the same target and then stack *those* results together in some other stacking application (like Deep Sky Stacker for instance). You need to use an application that will stack without an dark/flat/bias calibration frames (those corrections need to be done in the SharpCap stacking stage) and that will adjust the weight given to images based on the total exposure, so that if you have one stack of 120 minutes and one of 60 minutes, the 120 minute one will get twice the weighting of the 60 minute one.

There is also a 'Goto Image' tool in SharpCap that will take you back to the location of the previous stack (including using a rotator if you have one to get the orientation right and plate solving to get the position correct).
