Screenshot in Windows 10 after installing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card driver using live stacking in SharpCa

Hello;
I'm getting this blue screen error in Windows 10 after installing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card driver using live stacking in SharpCap.
I'm using the free version of SharpCap and have the graphics card selected.
My PC has 32 GB of RAM.

How do I configure the free version of SharpCap to prevent this from happening?
Would SharpCap Pro solve this by allowing more RAM?
Would it be advisable to disable the graphics card?

Hi,

the attachment was missing, but the only two things to really sensibly try are

1) Install the very latest drivers for the graphics card from the NVidia web site - given that the GTX760 is now over 10 years old, the newest drivers may no longer support it, meaning you may need to dig back to the latest historical version supporting the card.

2) In the SharpCap 'General' settings page, untick the box to 'Use graphics card acceleration to improve display performance' and restart SharpCap.

I think it is very unlikely that allowing more memory would help, and anyway, that is a SharpCap Pro feature.

cheers,

Robin

Hello;

I already have a SharpCap Pro license and it's activated.

How do I configure the graphics card and RAM so that everything works correctly?

If I activate the hraphics card with the updated driver and add more RAM, will performance improve?

I'd like to use 16 GB of RAM between both.

I'd also like to know if there's a tutorial on stacking live videos with SharpCap Pro.

I updated the sound card driver a few days ago so I could use it with an older version of OBS Studio.

Hello;
How would I configure the RAM considering my graphics card, an Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, in a PC with a 10-thread multi-core processor?
Until now, I've been relying on the CPU because the GTX 760 graphics card wasn't updated.
I hope you can help me configure the RAM to use.

Hello;

How should I configure the RAM considering my graphics card, an Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, on a PC with a 10-thread multi-core processor?
I've attached some questions that are part of the SharpCap Pro screenshots I ran yesterday.

I hope you can help me configure the RAM and whether I need to have the Nvidia GTX 760 with 2GB of RAM enabled to use Player One Uranus C.

Is there a specific tutorial for live stacking of deep-sky objects?

Regards.

Hello;
I'm hoping someone can help me.

How much RAM should I allocate in SharpCap Pro, considering my PC has 32GB of RAM and graphics card acceleration is disabled, as Robin advised?

I'm also using the Uranus C camera for live stacking. Lately, my PC has been showing blue screens, and I'm not sure if it's related to the RAM configuration for SharpCap or something else, but it's only happening during live stacking.
Thanks, and I hope someone can help me with this.

Have a look at https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Memory%20Settings

My capture laptop has 16GB memory. I have the High Speed Frame cache set to 8Gb (the maximum allowed). This helps (mitigate dropped frames) when I am performing lunar captures at high fps.

Okay.
And in the other section on that same site, under Live Stacking, which is what I use most, how much memory do you have allocated?
And I'd also like to know what you have set in the Camera Control section for Frame Rate?
I have it set to maximum because I don't know what that does.
And by the way, how can you set it to exactly 8GB (8192MB)? I don't know how to do that exactly with the scroll bar.
Regards and thanks.

Mine is left as the default of 2Gb, as I don't do Live Stacking.
what you have set in the Camera Control section for Frame Rate?
I leave it as the default of 'Maximum'. Works well for my lunar captures.
how can you set it to exactly 8GB (8192MB)?
Mine setting is actually 8113Mb, which is the maximum my slider will move to (~0.5 of my physical memory).

When I have new equipment such as camera, this viewtopic.php?t=2590 is how I go about testing settings such as USB. The tests can be performed on the bench, during daytime. Good for checking out dropped frames. Saves wasting valuable sky time.

At the end of the day there are no definitive settings, these are only obtained by experimentation.

Hi;
Here's how I have it configured now, based on what you said. I have 32GB of total RAM in my PC and I've disabled graphics card acceleration because it's an old card with only 2GB. I've split the 16GB of RAM, half for the frame cache if I use it for planetary imaging, and the other half for live stacking. I've also set the frame rate to maximum and I'm testing to see if it works properly.

As you can see in one of the screenshots, I ran a transfer test to my SSD and it's at 588MB/s. If you see anything wrong, let me know, okay?

I've attached screenshots of how it's currently configured.
