NGC3372 captured in Argentina (24° S), April 26 by Leandro (@Leandro). Processed using Astro Pixel Processor, GIMP & Starfixer (Leandro). An alternative process of the APP generated R, G, B, Ha stacks by Dave (@turfpit in the UK) using PixInsight and Starnet++.
Astro Pixel Processor, GIMP, Starfixer
Capture: Lights 37x180 sec (1.85h), 50 flats, 50 darks, 50 bias. Temperature 20 Cº, Bortle 7, Gain 562 (from Sensor Analysis), Black Level 95.
Equipment: Reflector 200x1000, Altair 183C Pro with Antlia quad band filter.
Software: SharpCap 4.1 (64 bit), Guiding PHD2.
Processing: Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0 beta 42 for calibration & integration plus extraction of R, G, B, Ha stacks. Gradient removal. HaRGB combination. Green Pixel reduction. GIMP, StarFixer (https://www.starfixer.org/) for denoise & star reduction.
Alternate processing of the APP generated R, G, B, Ha stacks with PixInsight & Starnet++
• Create RGB using ChannelCombination
• Gradient removal for RGB & Ha
• SPCC for colour calibration
• Combine Ha into the R channel using NBRGBCombination
• Starnet++ to create ‘starless’ image with remnants of diffraction spikes removed with CloneStamp
• PixelMath to create a ‘stars_only’ image
• Reduce the stars in ‘stars_only’ by MorphologicalTransformation
• Process ‘starless’ with histogram (black & mid-point) and curves (stretch & saturation)
• PixelMath to combine ‘stars_only’ and ‘starless’
• SCNR, green noise removal and slight denoise with ACDNR
• DarkStructureEnhance script
PixInsight & Starnet++ workflow.

Re: ETA CARINAE, NGC 3372
A reprocess using the bullet list above. Slightly better definition in the central nebula I think. Always worth trying different parameters.
