Hello,
I am attempting to set up a 10 Micron mount in the Sharpcap settings. I select "10 Micron" as the mount, but as soon as I click 'Properties' a Windows pop up warning tells me that Sharpcap is opening a 'properties' window, yet no window is displayed. I cannot save my 10 Micron mount settings. I have looked for a hidden window and there is none.
Cannot access 10 Micron properties

Re: Cannot access 10 Micron properties
Hi,
unfortunately it's quite possible for the ASCOM properties windows that get shown to appear behind SharpCap (or any other application that launches them). To try to help with this, SharpCap pops up the message that you are seeing to prompt you to look for the ASCOM settings window. It should be around somewhere (SharpCap's message automatically clears when the real settings window is closed).
It may be worth trying to find it by holding the 'Alt' key and pressing 'Tab' repeatedly - that shows all the various windows that you can switch between, and sometimes you will find a missing window in that which you cannot find any other way. You can try using the Windows key + Tab as well - that gives a slightly different view - not sure if it sometimes shows different things to Alt+Tab?
In rare cases, you may find that a window shows either in the task bar or in the Alt+Tab list, but you still can't see it. This can happen if the window has ended up in a position that is out of view off the screen for some reason. There is a trick to rescuing a window that is off screen :
* Select the window by clicking on it in the taskbar or selecting it in the Alt-Tab list
* Press Alt+Space
* Press M
* Press one of the arrow keys (up/down/left/right)
* Move the mouse
The trick here is that you are activating the functionality to move the window around using keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Space, M, arrow key), which works even when it is off screen. Then when you move the mouse it jumps to the current mouse position and you have your window back.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Cannot access 10 Micron properties
The Windows+Tab keys revealed the correct window.
