Crashes on "Live stack" window close and FX menu

#1

Post by ChrisR Oz »

Hi Robin,

If I close the Live Stack window, it often crashes. Now tend to "Pause" the Live Stack and do the Goto Object directly. It then adds the option to start a new live stack. This is helpful, although does not prevent a missed acquired frame (discussed elsewhere).

It has also crashed once when I have touched the FX menu.

SharpCap pops up a window briefly saying it will save and send crash/debug information if I click on save and send, or something like that. I have done this many times. Do you get any report?

This is for SC v.4.1.14091, under Win11.

Cheers, Chris.

Hi Chris,

please update - that issue is now fixed in the most recent versions.

The story is that I found evidence of a way that the image could get displayed without dark/flat being applied in some circumstances, but I couldn't work out exactly how it happened. I added extra checks to try to trap it and that's what you ran into - it turned out that if the timing was just right (just wrong maybe?) then it could happen when you closed live stacking. The good news was that once I started getting the bug reports of that happening I was able to dig down and find and fix the underlying issue.

cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin,

No, not recently. v4.1.14155 has not shown this behaviour.
Cheers, Chris.
