Red cross when using feature tracking

#1

Post by Greg_S »

I was wondering if there is a way to remove the red cross when doing solar guiding using Feature Tracking. I do some live broadcasts and it would be nice if that red cross was not in the image. If I use the other feature I get all little circles all over tha image. There must be something I am doing wrong. I am using the latest update of Sharpcap.
Thanks
Greg

Hi Greg,

yes, you can do that - look for an option called 'Highlight Features/Center of Mass/Phase Align Point' in the 'Image Movement Monitoring' options area and untick it.

cheers,

If the circles or the red cross is eliminated by unchecking that box will it still have a guide point or points to guide on?

Hi,

unticking the box just stops SharpCap from drawing on the image where its center position or tracking points are - they are still being tracked behind the scenes. Having the display on the image on is a great way of checking that the feature tracking is doing what it is supposed to be doing, but once you are comfortable that it works in your setup then there is no impact in turning it off.

cheers,

Robin
