NGC6914 - using PixInsight

#1

Post by nexusjeep »

Still learning PixInsight but this is a second set of data that I have run through PixInsight this is 72 x 5min subs the seeing was not great on the night I took them as there was a lot of thin high cloud. New Image first original image second. I still cannot get over the additional detail and information and manipulation that I can do in PixInsight, stars are reduced still debating on whether to make them more prominent or not there are a lot more than showing on the preview as they are quite tight/small.

Hi Nick,

a great image - thanks for sharing it and also the comparison with the alternative processing!

One of these days I really am going to have to spend some time learning PixInsight properly - right now I only use it now and again for specific things and often by the time I come back to it again I have forgotten all the things I worked out the previous time :)

cheers,

Robin
