Hi,

Hi,

I tested the high full well mode on my mono ATR2600 via the ASCOM driver and found something odd... When selecting high full well mode, the image from the camera does not fully saturate to white at gains below about 140. By this, I mean that if you turn the exposure way up and let lots of light onto the sensor, you *still* do not get all the pixels at maximum value until the gain is about 143 or 150 or so.

I tried various combinations of settings (HFW & LCG, HFW & HCG, etc) and see basically the same thing. Do you see the same?

Now, the point of the high full well mode is that it gets you a full well depth of about 70ke rather than about 50ke, but if you need to get to gain 140 or so to get a properly saturating sensor then you are back to about 50ke, so high full well is not really that useful. Maybe it is not being initialized properly by the ASCOM driver for some reason?

cheers,

Robin
