Re: incorrect values for CRVAL1 and CRVAL2
Hi Robin,
after a while I managed to check with the last SC version (4.1.13835.0-64bit).
Here are my results:
1. Most of the 27 imaged Asteroids of the test night, load and align fine in Astrometrica but I have two images with problems. The positions are not the center of the image, but I can not tell the reason.
But I also found a workaround in Astrometrica: for problematic objects I do not use the position which Astrometrica calculates out of the FITS header, but I enter the number of the Asteroid. Astrometrica then centers the Asteroid without a problem.
2. the next clear night I took 54 images. I do not plate solve for each image ahead, only sometimes if the target is a greater distance away from the center of the image.
But nevertheless in Astrometrica I only have to do a manual align for 8 images and for 4 images I have to use the workaround (entering the number) or I have to use automatic align.
Both with success. All other images align perfectly with the values out of the images. So you did a good job and all is very fine for me!
Thanks for reading this thread again and for releasing the corrected SC versions, of course!
cheers,
Michael
