Hi George,
good to hear that you are getting there - it can be difficult with some mounts to keep the PA accurate while tightening the bolts - tighten a little at a time and make adjustments while tightening if necessary. Also, don't get too stuck on needing perfect PA - within a couple of arc minutes is good enough to begin with.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Beginners help
Two simple questions:
1. Where is setting of timestamp moment (start, middle, end of exposure)?
2. How to switch on sound confirmation of start/end capture or snapshot?

Re: Beginners help
Hi,
for SER files then SharpCap will try to use an estimate of when the frame started as the timestamp (this is calculated from the time that the frame was delivered to SharpCap, less the exposure length). For FITS files, multiple timestamps are saved, but the comments for each of the headers explains what the timestamp is (beginning/mid/end/etc).
There is no option to play sounds when starting or stopping capture unless you use the advanced sequence editor, where there is a step that you can add to play a sound at any point in the sequence.
cheers,
Robin

Thank you, guys! Truly speaking, I meant shutter click or even modest short system beep, but not voice comments
Simplest sound confirmation is useful option.
