Hi All:
I realize the Folder Monitor can deal with ".fits" files but for no reason I know of, it will not deal with mine. I select the Folder Monitor Camera, then browse and select the right folder with the images and select 'all files in the folder' , etc. and get a yellow error bar across the screen saying it cannot read the file. The files are all 'fits' files with names in the format: "NGC XXXX_1x1_100_CLEAR_-10.00C_30.00s_0000_out.fits". Also, they are calibrated.
What might I be doing wrong?
Thank you,
Gary

Re: Folder Monitor and .fits files
Hi Gary,
there are lots of sub-formats of FITS files, and SharpCap will only load certain types - if you check in the log, it will most likely record an error message complaining about whatever type of FITS it is that it isn't happy with. Because the files are processed already, they may be 32 bit, which SharpCap only has limited support for reading (and that was added fairly recently, so update if you are running an out of date version).
Anyway, feel free to post the log error message here if there is one for me to check, or to share a sample file.
cheers,
Robin
