DSA/Plate solving problem 4.12551 v 4.12529

Hi Robin,

I upgraded to 4.1.12551 before an observing session last night and DSA/Platesolving was not working as in previous versions.

With 4.1.12551
1. Live stacked a few frames.
2. Opened DSA and it performed a platesolve.
3. The DSA didn't line up with the objects in the image.
4. Pressing 'Nearby' resulted in waiting for a new frame and then platesolving.
5. The DSA moved but still did no align with the stacked image.

It looked like, that even though I was live stacking, DSA was waiting for and using the next frame rather than the stack to align the DSA. So it moved every time but never matched the stacked image. The screenshot below shows the misalignment.

I rolled back to 4.1.12529 and everything went back to normal. A platesolve, the DSA matched the image and pressing 'Nearby' immediately solved (refined) without waiting for another frame.

Hi Pete,

thanks for the report - looks like a change I made to try to address some related issues with plate solving and live stacking has had this sort of negative effect - there is at least one other thread on here with similar symptoms, and I am going to be investigating later.

OK, the good news is that with the latest internal version of the code, I can't make this happen any more, so it looks like I have already fixed the issue with changes made since 4.1.12551. I am testing with the folder monitor camera on previously saved images, but I think a real camera will behave the same way.
