Touptek G3M2210C

Post by Tiago Ferreira »

I have a small planetary camera and everything is fine working with sharpcap. However it misses the Auto feature in the gain and i think in exposure as well. Is it something that should be fixed from Touptek side or sharpcap?

Also it has an ADJUSTMENT button for brightness in the same right menu and i tried to include in my sequence for start the camera and i couldn't find in "CONTROL" although all other settings for this camera are there. Is there a way to give the instruction to activate that button through the sequencer?
Thanks

Hi,

for historical reasons, ToupTek cameras will support auto gain through a special control 'Auto gain with auto exposure' - this means that auto gain can only be enabled with auto-exposure also enabled. You can set the max auto gain with this adjustment too. In theory the ToupTek cameras can be set to auto gain only mode, but not sure how to add that without breaking backward compatibility with existing settings.

Some controls for the ToupTek cameras (Brightness, colour balance, etc) are only available when the camera is in RGB mode (or MONO mode). If you have the camera in RAW mode then they will be missing on the right and also not show up in the sequence editor as options for the 'Set <Control Name> to <Control Value>' step.

There is currently no way for the sequencer to activate button controls (like the auto white balance adjust) that also can appear on the right for some cameras.

cheers,

Robin
