Question on two-monitor view

Robin,
I just purchased a large additional monitor (27" screen) for doing EAA. I will be using it for public outreach. I plugged in the monitor to my laptop and selected "two monitor view" in Sharpcap. Both screens (my laptop and the new monitor screen) show both the image and Sharpcap controls. How do I get just the image on the big screen, and the image and controls on my laptop?

Right click on the Windows desktop and then click on
Display Settings"
Under "Multiple Displays" select
"Extend these displays" from the drop-down menu.

Now go into SC and select "Two Monitor View"

and you should be good to go.

I got the image (only) on the big monitor and the image and controls on my laptop like I wanted (thanks for the tip). However... now I can't figure out how to make the image on the big monitor the same size as the desktop monitor's image when I zoom in. For example, if I zoom into the image on the desktop screen (owl nebula in this case), the nebula image on the big monitor is still small. (See image in link below).

I would like to be able to show a zoomed-in image on the big monitor the same relative size (enlarged) as it appears on the laptop monitor (minus controls). Is that possible? Thanks again for your help.

Hi,

the zoom levels of the two displays are not linked, as that would behave oddly when the available space on the main screen doesn't match the available space on the second display. The way to zoom the second display is to use the mouse controls for zooming, which are the standard CTRL key + mouse scroll wheel that is used by many applications. Just do that with the mouse over the second display (you might have to click on it first) and you should be able to adjust the zoom and, if necessary, use the scroll bars to find the right part of the zoomed image.
