ok thinking of using sharpcap pro never used it before but I like the idea of the polar alignment tool and would like to use for planetary imaging maybe as well ,at the moment I use NINA for my dso imaging. this has a three point polar alignment plugin but im not liking it .i want to have a good go with sharpcap pro before i splash out on polemaster or ipolar.
my one question at this time will it work with my astro modified canon 60d i tried connecting but its not seen im guessing i need a driver from somewhere.

Re: Canon 60D
Hi,
to get the Canon DSLR to work you will need to install the ASCOM.DSLR driver (and the ASCOM platform if you don't have it already). There is a thread on Cloudy Nights discussing this driver : https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/7076 ... ntax-sony/
I should point out that people have had mixed results with the ASCOM.DSLR driver - some people find it great, others struggle to get it to work reliably, or even get it to work at all. It's worth a try...
I think it should work for polar alignment if you get it working nicely - I must admit I have never tried myself
cheers,
Robin

Hi,
the ZWO120 should work no problem - just plug it in and run SharpCap
Much less hassle than the DSLR!
cheers,
Robin
