Re: How is this sub treated in live stacking?
Hi Robin I strongly appreciate your time and efforts looking at the problem in such depth. The analysis is of higher quality than textbook. I think what I'm going to do is to first play with the sigma setting and monitor the 'individual' frames during my next live stacking session and see what happe...

Re: How is this sub treated in live stacking?
Hi Robin
Thanks for looking into this issue. Please let me know how it is easiest for you to get the images. I have prepared 20 FIT files containing 1 such problematic one. Each of the files is about 18 MB.
Best regards

How is this sub treated in live stacking?
Hello I wonder if this question has an easy explanation. My ZWO asi533MC produces a sub like this one below occasionally when I do 12 s live stacking with SharpCap Pro, one sub in every few dozen perhaps, not periodically, though. (Note: the image below is not the full resolution image, rather, it i...

Remaining days lost when renewing Pro license
Hi My last term of the Pro license should finish on 7 Jul 2022. I did a renewal using the same email address today (6 Jun 2022) for another one year, thinking this would help me extend my term to somewhere on or near 7 Jul 2023. However, upon receiving the new copiable text and pasting it into my Sh...

Re: Calibration frames applied to individual raw frames?
Thanks Robin
It's very helpful to know. I understand I should locate the calibration files in my folders and use them when processing my individual raw frames in PIPP, or when stacking in DSS.
Best regards

Calibration frames applied to individual raw frames?
Hi, I highly appreciate the live stacking function of SC! I have a question concerning to which the dark and flat frames are applied. 1. When I live stack and choose to save each individual raw frame, I see a growing number of frames saved in the target folder on my PC. This allows me to select and ...

Re: Roundness filter
Hi Robin Thanks for your interest in the expected roundness filter. Unfortunately, I don't have really round stars that I'm satisfied with, but I've got plenty of those with stars that are not round. Should I need, I'd be happy to collect some "round" vs "not round" stars when I ...

Roundness filter
Hello
I understand the FWHM filter is a powerful tool to filter out frames based on quality of star shapes/sizes. I wonder if this algorithm also take star roundness into consideration. Or is there the possibility of adding such a filter in the future updates?
Thank you ver much!
