I really like M106 and especially the color. If you ever get the change/possibility, see if you can capture and incorporate Ha narrow-band data into it. It has some very interesting Ha features.

Hi Gene Maybe you already did this, but what happens when you use 100% Gain and 4 seconds for a plate solve? I did see it here too in the night of Friday to Saturday and my mouth was open the whole time. Even teared up, so much it impressed me.
And no desire to capture it whatsoever: it was 40 minutes of just witnessing this with my own eyes

Hi and welcome. With software there is no way to alter that. You indeed need either a 0.5 Barlow or another camera.
