SharpCap for Android using Phone Camera
Hi Robin! My name is Ighor, I'm 11 years old from Brazil.
I don't have a ZWO camera or Windows computer. I only have my Android phone and my telescope.
Can you please make SharpCap for Android that uses the PHONE CAMERA to do live stacking and planetary capture, just like the Windows version?
A lot of kids in Brazil only have phones. This would help us a lot!
Thank you!
Ighor

Re: SharpCap for Android using Phone Camera
Hi Ighor,
thanks for posting your request - but I am sorry to say that I have no plans to make an Android version of SharpCap
Because of the different way of controlling cameras, the differences in how the application would have to look and the change in programming languages, it would mean starting again writing the whole of the software practically from scratch to make an Android version.
There are actually some useful apps that you can use already on your Android phone to do astrophotography - a quick search will reveal several that you can try out. You might even find that your phone's existing camera app has a night sky mode that can be surprisingly effective!
Hope you find an app that you like!
