Hi Robin,
Thanks for adding the changes I had previously requested. This is mostly working now but there are still a couple of bugs in v4.2.15332.
With the Planetary Stack (Snapshot) template set to "{TargetName}\{TargetName} {Filter} {SubExposure} x{Gain} {StackedFrames}frames D{Date} T{Time}" and the Stack Length at 1000 I am getting filenames like "Jupiter Visible 50ms x100 2777frames D26_10_2026 T18_41_11" so with more than 1000 frames.
With the Planetary Stack (Timelapse) template set to "{TargetName}\Timelapse\{TargetName} {Filter} {SubExposure} x{Gain} {StackedFrames}frames D{Date} T{Time} {Extra}" and the Stack Length at 1000 and the Gain at 100 I am getting filenames like "Jupiter Visible 50ms x 2846frames D26_10_2026 T18_42_47" so again with more than 1000 frames and with the gain value missing.
Thanks again for all your hard work.
Peter

Re: Planetary Stacking filename templates not correctly interpreted
Hi Peter,
the frame number thing is as expected - the naming is generated from the number of frames added to the stack since it started, not the 'set number' of frames that defines the length of the stack. Think of it as the tag in the filename being something that distinguishes one file from another (if you save multiple times) based on how long the stack has been running for - it's not a way to record the set value of the equivalent number of frames in the stack (that gets saved into the capture settings file for reference).
I will check the missing gain on the timelapses - it appears on snapshots, so I suspect the data is not being passed on to the code that creates the timelapse filename.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Planetary Stacking filename templates not correctly interpreted
Hi Robin,
Thanks for looking into this.
I take your point about the frame number but would argue that it should reflect the number of frames stacked as it does for DSOs, so the "Stack Length" figure from the "Live Planetary Stacking/Enhancement" dialog. The forever increasing number that it currently takes can be used as a tag but so can date and time (as I do).
Is there perhaps some way to allow the "Stack Length" figure to be used as a {TagName} so that I could choose this?
Peter
