When I press the Run Button to start an exposure I end up looking at drop down screen "Configure Capture" on which I have to click the "start" button for the actual capture to start?
!I just want the Run Button to actual immediately start the capture.
How do I change the settings.

Re: Run Button
Hello;
It's assumed that before capturing, the program needs to know what it's going to capture: time, frames, etc. That's how I understand it.

Re: Run Button
Hi,
yes, that's correct - the 'Start Capture' button will always prompt you for 'how much' or 'how many times' to capture. If you want to capture immediately, you have two options...
1) the 'Snapshot' button to capture a single still image
2) the 'Quick Capture' button to capture a number of frames, usually as a video - there's a dropdown under the Quick Capture button to choose how many frames/how long to capture for, or simply clicking the button will capture for the duration/number of frames used last time on the quick capture button.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Run Button
Ok,
So If i use exactly the same parameters as previous then press the Quick Capture button it will immediately start to capture..
I'm using Sharpcap with the SHG - same settings each time but need to collect a lot of SER videos to get good stacking etc.
Just hitting one button to start and one button to stop is much easier.

Re: Run Button
Hi,
just to clarify, quick capture uses the last quick capture settings (ie 2000 frames or whatever) - not the last values you entered into the main 'Start Capture' window.
I think there are various scripts to help automate capturing with SHGs like the Solex - forum contributor Jean-Francois has one that he has published - see this discussion : viewtopic.php?t=8783
If you use the scripting approach, it will automate all the capturing for you
cheers,
Robin
