Focus graphic not appearing but script runs OK

#1

Post by sbraybrooke »

I often find the FWHM graphic in the focus assistant does not plot the graphics. The script runs fine and I get a good focus. It seems to happen after I cancel focus assistant and restart it after say adjusting gain. Can you advise please?

Hi,

please can you test the latest SharpCap 4.2 beta version (https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... p-4-2-beta) and let me know if you can still make the problem happen in that version (and also if you see any message in the background of the focus graph area if the issue does occur).

I have had at least one other report on this issue, and I am trying to work out how/why it happens - so far I can't make it happen myself, so have been adding extra diagnostic code to 4.2 to try to pin down the cause if it does happen. If you do see it, please send me the full SharpCap log of the session in which it happens, as well as a screenshot like the one above. Alternatively, if you can provide detailed steps to make it happen reliably (or nearly reliably), please let me know so I can test out the scenario myself.

cheers,

Robin
