Hi,
I have a perfectly working ZWO ASI 676mc camera, that used to work in Sharpcap (tested afew monthsrago with Sharpcac). But now not recognised at all, even if conencted directly to my laptop, which beeps uppon connecting, i.e. its see the Camera (and teh Camera still work with other applications). SV605cc and Meade LPI-G advanced works well. My Sharpcap version is 4.1.12.136.00.
Is there any issue with this cammera?
Thanks,
Ehud.

Hi,
a few of things to check out...
1) Windows Device Manager - check that the camera device shows up with the correct name in device manager and doesn't have an '!' or warning icon next to it - that could indicate that the driver wasn't being found for the device
2) Update the ZWO Camera driver to the latest version. Sometimes a new SDK version in SharpCap requires a camera driver update too
3) Go back to SharpCap 4.1.14102 or earlier - 4.1.14120 brought in a new update of the ZWO SDK, which will be in the version you are using (4.1.14136). If the new SDK has introduced a problem with the 676MC then going back to a previous version may help.
cheers,
Robin

Thanks Robin,
I'll check.
How do I go back and install and older version if Sharpcap?
Ehud.

Hi,
all previous versions of SharpCap are available via the downloads page, so you can just scroll down and download any version you require. Once you've done that, manually uninstall your current version of SharpCap 4.1 and install the old version (you can't just run the installer for the old version as it will tell you that a newer version is already installed and exit). Don't worry, doing this will not affect your SharpCap configuration.
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin,
Just to let you know that is was updating the camera drivers. It was a bit confusing, as on the Windows Device Manager I see the ZWO camera under Imaging Devices, not under Cameras.
Thanks,
Ehud.
