Hi, I have tried looking for this, but cannot find it, so I'm sorry if this happened before.
I haven't used SharpCap for a long time due to DeepSky imaging using my ASIAir, but when i picked up my planetary set and tried to connect my 178MC, all i got is static.
This only happens in SharpCap by the way. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Many thanks in Advance, Edwin

Re: static
What were you shooting here? 20ms of exposure is awfully short for any kind of deep sky target...

Re: static
Hi,
probably the best thing to do is close the camera, then re-open it in SharpCap while holding down the <CTRL> key. Doing this stops SharpCap from automatically re-loading the previous settings you used for the camera and puts everything back to defaults. In most cases, remembering the last settings is useful, but if you accidentally mess things up (as I think you have done here - at least for the display stretch and colour balance) then it keeps re-loading the messed up settings.
Hope this gets you sorted,
Robin

I was trying to shoot the ISS passing in front of the Sun. The camera doesn't give any image, but when you move the gain, at some point you get this view. Like I said, this doesn't happen with other programs.archer1960 wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2026 1:08 pm What were you shooting here? 20ms of exposure is awfully short for any kind of deep sky target...
