I just got a SVBONY SC715C, SharpCap sees and control the camera fine but there are no color controls.
Am I missing something.
The software that I downloaded from SVBONY is able to adjust the colors.

RAW mode did not work but found out RGB24 has a color balance settings.

I have a QHY715C and the "Colour Space" selection is MONO8, MONO16 and RGB24.

In the RGB24 ... if I'm right ... the colour processing is done in the camera and so SharpCap receive a coloured image and you have the colour control.
In the MONO mode ... you have an additional selection how you want to proceed.
You have the new setting "Debayer Preview" with "Off", "On" and "Force xxxx".

So with "Off" then you have really the raw black & white (mono) output of the camera ... and so only the mono control.
With "On" it is the automatic debayered image. The other selection is manual in case the automatic is not working properly.

So have a look maybe you have "Off" in the settings "Debayer Preview", change it to "On" and the colour control should appear.

Also ... if you want to have the colour image ... you need to convert it first in a colour image
The RAW format is the detector readout without any processing ... so the GRBG 4 pixels group are not in colour but only the grey value of each pixel.

If you want the colour settings ... then select RAW8 or RAW16 (MONO8 or MONO16) and then set the "Debayer Preview" to On.

Now if you have set the "Debayer Preview" to On and you have still only the mono image on the screen ... then it is a problem somewhere else.

So first, forum regulars will have heard this before, but I would normally not recommend using camera white balance controls. Leave them in the 'neutral' positions where they are not making any adjustments and then fix the colour in post-processing after stacking. The reasoning behind this is that with the colour balance controls making adjustments, you end up saving the adjusted data rather than the raw data from the sensor. That adjustment can't usually be cleanly undone if you decide to try to change things later - you may as well save the raw data and then apply any adjustments to that saved data.

Anyway, why no colour controls on the SV715C... The SC715C is a bit odd in that it is sold by SVBony, but is ToupTek manufactured. ToupTek originally didn't have the ability to apply any colour adjustments in RAW mode, so SharpCap doesn't show the controls in RAW modes. Recent versions of the support DLLs from ToupTek now do have this ability, but I am only making it available on particular brands when I am sure that the SDK I have for that brand supports the functionality. It turns out that I am a bit behind with that - the SVBonyCam SDK I have for the 715C does support the RGB adjustments, but I haven't set the flag in SharpCap to enable them.

I will make that change for the new version of SharpCap (version 4.2) that I am currently working on - I'm only fixing serious bugs in 4.1 now.

If you want to access the white balance controls in 4.1, see if your camera shows up a second time in the menu as a ToupTek camera (G3M715C). Try opening it as the G3M715C - you should see that you get colour balance controls in RAW mode, although oddly the red/blue controls are reversed when trying to do this - I expect this is a quirk of the SDK being not quite the right one for the camera.
