Hello,
I recently purchased a ZWO ASI2600MC Duo. There are a couple of issues that appear to be Sharpcap related. First I made sure my camera drivers were up to date and that I have the latest version of Sharpcap (4.1.14136.0)
1) The Thermal Controls in Sharpcap won't let me set my usual -10 degrees. When I enter -10 sharpcap changes it to -9. If I put -5 shaprcap changes it to -6. 2) The Thermal Controls never get the camera to anything below 3.38degrees even inside the house with air-conditioning on. I initially thought it was a camera problem, however ZWO tech support had me use their ASICap to try and get the camera to cool to my setpoint and it worked flawlessly. I am attaching the Sharpcap log file to this bug report for reference. I had to copy and paste into notepad because for some reason the native log file was over 1MB
Thanks Robin- as alsways for your incredible work on Sharpcap!

Re: ZWO ASI2600MC Duo cooling issue in Sharpcap Pro
Hi,
I think this is all down to having set SharpCap to work in Fahrenheit rather than Celcius for measuring temperatures.
Your 3.38 is actually 3.38F, which is -16C.
When you are trying to set the set point temperature, SharpCap has to convert the value you have chosen to a celcius value, then send that to the camera, which means rounding it to a whole number. Then SharpCap reads back the value the camera has stored and converts that back from C to F, which can come out slightly different due to the rounding to a whole number when in C.
So, I think everything is working pretty much as it should with the temperature scale set to F. To be honest, it sounds like you are thinking of temperatures in C anyway, so it might just be easiest to change that setting back.
cheers,
Robin

Thanks Robin! I didn't change to F but maybe that is the default for some reason. I tried finding where to change the temp units in settings and couldn't locate it nor could I find it in the user manual. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Mike
