Do you change some settings of the forum ?

I need to re-login again and again for each action.
In addition, I cannot upload a file or an image.

I haven't changed anything recently (well, I have now, to see if that helps, but not previously...)

You should tick the 'remember me' checkbox when logging in - that will in turn set a 'phpbb3_pwn4lxq_k' cookie which is the way the forums can tell that you are supposed to be remembered and that it can seamlessly continue the login session after the normal login expires. The 'phpbb3_pwn4lxq_k' cookie is sensitive information - do *NOT* post the contents of your cookie here or anywhere else as it could allow people to login as you. If your browser is rejecting this cookie then you will not stay logged in.

I have just changed the name of the cookie slightly in case that helps resolve the issue for people - it may trigger a re-login once, but using a new cookie name may clear any problems with the old cookie (just possibly).

If you are having problems with the login needing to be repeated, please try an alternate browser to see if that helps, then report which browsers are working and which are giving problems. If you are using any browser plugins please try without them to see if they are causing the issue. Information on what configurations work and what fails is the key, as it may allow me to work out what is causing the issue, learn to reproduce it in testing and then resolve it.

Thanks. It seems that it is working fine again (who knows why).
I really do not like a "stay connected" button and I hate the electronic cookies. The only real cookies are with chocolate.
I like that my browser forget (I use Brave without any add-in).

Hi,

without the 'remember me' ticked, the system will log you out after one hour of inactivity (I think). If you spend a long time writing a post them maybe that can catch you out sometimes? In case you see the problem again, try logging in from a new tab and see how that works out - then return to your original tab and see if you are properly logged in.

Robin:I experience this with Windows (Edge browser), iPad and iPhone. Credentials are remembered but I have to recheck the 'Remember Me' box every time. I have re-enetered the login credentials (rather than re-use) to see if that helps.

Hi,

the 'remember me' box does not remember that you ticked it on a previous login (you always have to manually tick it). However, if you have logged in once with it ticked then you ought to stay logged in almost indefinitely. If you do find yourself logged out unexpectedly, please have a look to see if the cookie mentioned above still exists before you try logging back in.
