Hi everyone,

I’m running into an issue with how my capture files are being named, and I can’t seem to figure out what’s going wrong.

No matter what I try, the individual image files don’t include the frame type (light, dark, flat, bias) in their filenames. Instead, the software only creates separate folders for each frame type, while the filenames themselves remain unchanged.

In the filename settings, I’ve already added {frame type}, so I expected it to be reflected in each file name—but it doesn’t seem to have any effect.

I also noticed that {target name} isn’t being included either, even though it’s configured the same way.

So currently:

Frame types are only used for folder organization
Filenames ignore both {frame type} and {target name} tokens

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what might be causing it? Is there a setting I might have overlooked or something that needs to be enabled elsewhere?

it sounds like what you are missing is that the result depends on where the tags like {FrameType} are used in the filename template - i.e.
vs.
If you want the frame type in both the folder and file names, put the {FrameType} tag into the template twice - once before the final backslash so that it forms part of the folder name, and once after the final backslash to form part of the filename.
