Capture Profile Management non responsive

#1

Post by fwm891 »

I'm using version: 4.1.14185.0 23-02-2026 (downloaded today).
My camera is a ZWO ASI 676MM which is seen by the drop down menu and I can change setting for it. However I want to set up a profile for this camera as it will be frequently in use but I can't even enter a name for a profile and in the management screen all I get is an SV Bony model which I can't delete, because all edit controls are greyed out. There are no other camera profile to select from unlike those shown in the help screens. ? At one time it was easy to name a profile and create your own list of profile settings.

Hi,

creating a new profile is not done via the 'Manage...' screen, it's done by the 'Save As' button on the main SharpCap screen, which will prompt you for a name for the new profile.

The 'Management' screen lets you delete profiles you don't want any more, see what is in profiles and set if a profile is default or not.

The 'Save' button on the main SharpCap screen lets you re-save a profile you have loaded - for instance you load one, change a couple of camera settings then re-save it with the same name with the new settings.

Hope this helps,

Robin
