I have been using my scope in my living room practicing for my next session and whenever I use Spiral Search the mounts runs away and the only way to stop is to Park it. It has run away also just using the slew buttons. I had a version that was 1 1/2 years old, so I downloaded the latest version, and it still does it. I have Pro version. This would be a disaster while doing a remote session.
Thanks for the help

Re: Runaway G11.
Hi,
when you let go of any of the movement buttons (left/right/up/down/spiral), or press the 'Stop' button then SharpCap will send a 'Stop Moving' command to the mount and then try to put it back to the tracking rate it was in before you started moving it. I suspect that this stop command is being sent but is somehow not having the required effect with your mount - if it wasn't sent in some circumstances we would have lots of similar bug reports coming in...
The first thing to do is to confirm whether the stop command is being sent as expected - you can often turn on logging in the ASCOM driver for the mount so that it records the commands it is sent, you can certainly turn it on in SharpCap (File Menu -> SharpCap Settings -> Logging Tab -> Tick 'Mount Hardware Communications'). Once logging is on, re-test and check the logs (or share them here for me to look at).
From the mount side of things, it would be worth checking that the ASCOM driver for the mount is up to date. I can't give specific advice for the G11 as I have no experience of that hardware.
cheers,
Robin
