ZWO ASI715MC ROI Doesn't Work
ZWO ASI715MC ROI Doesn't Work
I've been unable to set an ROI on my 715. I can set up the ROI, and it looks correct on the screen, but Sharpcap records the entire sensor. Frame rates don't go above 4fps. My 678 works fine. Any ideas?

Hi,
two things to check...
1) Are you using the very latest version of SharpCap from our downloads page? Older versions may not properly support new model cameras.
2) Are you using the 'Capture Area' control on the right to change into ROI mode? (see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Capture%20Area) - I just wonder if you might be using the selection area tool in the toolbar instead, which has a different purpose (it selects an area of the image for processing by certain functions in SharpCap, but it doesn't act as an ROI selection for saving).
thanks,
Robin

Robin,
I haven't updated in a couple of months, so I'll download the latest and give that a try. As to the second item, yes, I am using "define ROI" and "apply ROI" buttons on the right.
