using coordinates in push-to
When i use coordinates instead of the catalogue, the push-to gives me the direccions but in the screen i can't see the object if it's very faint. Is there any way to know where the object is on the screen? Maybe through deep sky annotation? I'm not using goto, it's all manual.

Re: using coordinates in push-to
Hi,
The best bet at the moment would be to add your objects to a custom catalog file (see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Custom ... %20Objects) - this will make them appear in the deep sky image annotation. I think they will also appear in the catalog list too, so you can select them from there as a target.
With this done, you can enable deep sky annotation while doing the PushTo, and you will see your target being highlighted when it comes into view.
I do like the idea though of highlighting directly from the PushTo target - I will make a note of that for a future improvement.
cheers,
Robin

Re: using coordinates in push-to
Thanks. Worked but it's annoying to have to find the folder with the file and open the cell and change the values there each time. I was wondering if i can simplify it adding to the cells in the cvs file formulas so i could paste the coordinates to a separate column and the cell would pull them automatically. At least it saves me time but idk if will interfere with sharpcap. Is this possible or is there a better way to simplify it that i'm not seeing? Like a jpl connection for instance, idk. Thanks

Hi,
there is a bit of a shortcut - you can paste the co-ordinates into SharpCap from the clipboard using the 'Paste Custom Object Info' button on the Deep Sky Annotation window - the format needs to be the same, but it saves you from going to the hidden catalogs folder each time.
cheers,
Robin
