screen failures

* SharpCap version V4.1.13621
* Camera and other hardware used: SVBony SV705 C
* Windows 11 operating system version
* SharpCap log content after the problem. Good evening, the problem is that for a few weeks now, the camera's live view has been showing errors at the edges of the screen. It's as if it has eaten away the edges and the display is not clear at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the camera drivers. I have also reinstalled SharpCap. I have tried other programs without any problems (FireCapture and APT), and I have tried the SV305 Pro camera without any problems either.

I am providing a screenshot showing the error. I have contacted svbony but have not received any results so far.

Hi,

it looks as though you have the 'Planet/Disk Stabilization' control turned on in the 'Preprocessing' controls section on the right - this is trying to put the brightest part of the image into the middle and causes the edge stretching as it shifts the content of the image around to achieve this.

You can just turn this off, or prevent SharpCap from reloading previous camera settings by changing the 'Automatically restore last use camera settings' option in the first page of the SharpCap settings. You can also prevent the reload of previous settings on a one-off basis by holding down CTRL while the camera is opening.

cheers,

Robin

Thanks a lot for your help with SharpCap. It’s hard to believe, but it actually worked right away 😊. I really appreciate it, you saved me a big headache and now I can keep enjoying the camera without any issues.
