For years Ive used a ZWO120 and sharp cap but decided the new models have improved enough to get something modern, the 664. I did the drivers install, the manual says to install ASI studio and Ascom something or other.(not in that order, ZWO specifies a particular order that I followed) I,m not super computer literate so I tried to follow the instructions exactly. Camera not found. I tried many things including re installing drivers, and then when I tried another USB port I was getting SOME results, I could open the camera in ASIstudio but not Sharp Cap.Although at this point Sharp Cap could could find the old 120.
I deleted Ascom, ASI studio, and the ZWO drivers.Fresh start. Re installed ONLY the ZWO drivers and voila! Both cameras are now found with Sharp Cap! Happy Day. Just a hunch but I feel the problem might be related to Ascom, which I didn't want, I have no need for mount/focuser,dome control etc.
I hope this helps anyone else having the same problem and would like to hear if it works for you.

Re: ZWO 664 not found
Hi,
thanks for sharing and glad you got it working
Normally you won't find a problem between having ASCOM and the direct access to cameras in SharpCap, so I suspect that you will be able to re-install ASCOM now and not have the camera show any problems. Updating from a very old version of SharpCap to the current version does seem to sometimes also require a newer version of the ZWO drivers (what they call the native camera driver for Windows), and that in turn might require a reboot to take effect.
clear skies!
Robin
