livestacking in a sequence

Hi
I have a problem that I don't understand how to solve with programming a livestacking in a sequence.
An excerpt from the sequence is as follows:

LOOP 5 TIMES
PRESERVE CAMERA SETTINGS
SET EXPOSURE TO 2
MOUNT GOTOMPCORB "00230 7.50 0.15 K2555 254.03342 1 ........
MOUNT SOLVEANDSYNC
END PRESERVE
SET EXPOSURE TO 15
LIVE STACK FOR 5 FRAMES SAVING AS FITSRawStack16Bit COUNTING Stacked FRAMES
LIVE STACKING STOP
LIVE STACKING RESET
.......
and start again with another asteroid

The problem is that "LIVE STACK FOR 5 FRAMES" saves the first frame after 1.40, 3.25, or 4.2 seconds, randomly, and then after "about" a minute. I'm definitely doing something wrong, but the documentation doesn't help.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the folder to help you understand better. All exposures should "theoretically" be 75s.

One more question
In the sequence "LIVE STACK FOR 5 FRAMES SAVING AS FITSRawStack16Bit COUNTING Stacked FRAMES"
the minimum value is 5 ? I cannot enter a value other than 5, 10, ...

thanks in advance

Carlo

I'll try moving "LIVE STACKING RESET" before the line "LIVE STACK FOR 5 FRAMES SAVING AS...."

Hi Carlo,

the minimum is 5 frames for that step, but you can type in any number you want that is 5 or more - it's just that the up/down buttons move the value in steps of 5.

On the timings of the first frame, try putting a delay of maybe 3-5 seconds between the exposure change and the 'live stack for N frames' step. I suspect that when the exposure is changed to 15s, the 2s frame in progress will be stopped, but the image from it will come through (that's the way most cameras work when you ask them to stop an exposure). That shorter exposure may well arrive after the live stack has started, so become the first frame in the stack. By adding the pause, you ensure that the live stack is not active until the camera is well into the new 15s exposure.

cheers,

Robin
