Hello,
I am new to SharpCap and Solar imaging. I am trying to achieve focus and contrast, but even with my gain set to zero Everything is washed out and I only see a white disk. Is there another setting in SharpCap that would enable me to see some contrast in the live view? I would appreciate any suggestion that would help. Thank you.

Did you reduce the exposure length?

Hi,
as George says, definitely turn down the exposure. If you have been using SharpCap before for other sorts of imaging you may have enabled the option to stretch the image as seen on the screen (to bring out faint deep sky objects). You may need to turn that off - https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.1/#Display%20Stretch
cheers,
Robin
