Hello
I currently don't see a way to disable the automatic check for updates in SharpCap. This would be helpful as I am running SC with an Allsky Cam and the software is permanently running unattended. Every few days I get a popup window that no updates are available and this window interferes with the scripts to control SC:
Is there really no way to stop this and run the update check manually?
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Deactivation of automatic updates
Hi Stefan,
what version are you currently running? I have just checked over the latest code and as far as I can tell that message can only appear in response to a manual check for updates having been run since you started SharpCap. There should be no way for it to show up if you are just letting SharpCap check automatically.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Deactivation of automatic updates
Hi Stefan,
OK, that's a recent enough version that there have been no changes to the auto-update part of SharpCap between that version and the current code. Which means that the only way that message should appear is in response to the user having done a manual check for updates from the Help=>Check For Updates menu item.
I would suggest updating to the very latest version anyway from the downloads page and see if that helps. If the issue persists without you having used that menu item then I guess we would have to look to see if there is anything that might be activating that menu item on your behalf (macro or automation software, python script, etc)
cheers,
Robin
