Robin,
I changed the default file name to have the sub exposure, total exposure and target name. I noticed when using my normal 15s or 30s exposure it uses 2s in file name. This only happens sometimes I think I know why. When the guiding is dithering it uses 2s subs. If I save file during dithering it reports 2s as subframe.

Re: File name live stacking
Hi,
the normal behaviour during dithering is to reduce the exposure to 2s - this helps reduce the amount of time lost to a dither operation since you don't have to wait for a 30s, 60s or even longer frame to finish before starting a new one after the dither is complete. If you have live stacking set up to save 'all' raw frames then these shorter frames will get saved and it would be correct to use the sub exposure of 2s in the filename.
If, however, the 2s sub exposure is showing up in the filenames of full length raw frames then there is a bug.
cheers,
Robin

Robin,
Sorry I didn’t explain this better. The file name is for both “save exactly as seen” and “save with adjustments”.

Re: File name live stacking
Ah, I see - I will look into that, as it is probably taking the value from the most recent frame, rather than the most recent frame added to the stack!
cheers,
Robin
