Region of Interest, Track Planet, Center not working when camera is flipped

SharpCap v4.1.12925.0
Uranus-C camera
Windows 11 64-bit

When using planetary live stacking with an ROI, if I enable Region of Interest, Track Planet, Center with a camera flip (horizontal and vertical) also enabled under Camera Controls, the ROI tracking does not work and instead continually moves the ROI until it reaches the edge of the camera sensor. Without camera flipping enabled ROI tracking works fine, so I'm guessing that the ROI tracking function is not made aware of the Camera Controls camera flip state.

There is a work around which is to flip in the Stabilization/Alignment tab instead, but doing that leaves the camera image inverted when viewed outside of live planetary stacking.

Thanks Peter, that makes sense. I should have written code to handle the flipped case when doing the ROI tracking, but tbh, it didn't occur to me, perhaps because I rarely use the flip options in the camera.

I'll have a look...

cheers,

Robin

Thanks Robin.

I do planetary observing with an Explorer 200, so the camera is at the top end, and with the Uranus-C camera orientated normally, the USB cable emerges on the open tube side. So to avoid the USB cable bending I fit the camera upside down and run the USB cable along the tube and down. I once broke the cameras USB connector by trying to bend a fairly stiff cable emerging the other way.

new update now available to download the should resolve this problem, along with a few other tweaks and improvements to planetary live stacking.

cheers,

Hi Robin,

I got the opportunity to test this fix last night and it worked fine. Thanks again.
