Robin,
I've only recently been using the 294MM in 11Mp Bin2 mode with the C11. When I finish and close the camera it's in 11Mp Bin2 mode. Every time with a new session when I open the 294MM it's set to Bin1. I thought the settings when closing a camera were remembered when it's re-opened.
If I don't have a flat and/or dark selected I'll get the incompatible prompt when re-opening the camera, which reminds me to set it Bin2. But when I don't have calibration frames selected the camera will open Bin1 when I'm assuming it's Bin2. This has messed me up a few times. I'm getting better at changing Bin1 to Bin2 after opening the 294MM but it would be nice if it re-opened with the same settings it was closed with.
I'm using the latest version (4.1.12717).
Mike

Mike,
What I do is save the camera settings I use as a profile name at top of column. You can name many different profiles example different gain exp lengths. I name for example 200030 or gain 200 exp 30. Then you can go into the menu for profiles and designate a default profile then this will be the settings you saved that will load when starting camera. To go to another profile you select it and push load
Hope this helps

Re: 294MM always opens Bin1 in 11Mp mode
Hi Mike,
there's an option in the 'General' settings to automatically restore the last camera settings, which may no longer be turned on. Under certain circumstances SharpCap will turn this option off automatically - that happens if an error occurs while trying to restore the camera's previous settings. Turning the option off at that point stops the same error from occurring every time you open the camera from then on.
cheers,
Robin

Robin,
I checked the general setting to "restore last" and it's checked. I also opened and closed the 294MM a couple of times and it still opens in Bin1 when it was set to Bin2 upon closing. This will not be a big deal for me soon because I'm trading the 294 for a 533 but thought you should know anyway.

I had another strange issue with my ASI2400MC-Pro yesterday and I'll post a new topic.
Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike,
OK, thanks for checking - it could be something to do with the order in which the settings are restored - I will look into that possibility.
cheers,
Robin
