I missed probably something, but I didn't manage to display frame rotation angle from astrometry.
I try to optimize target framing with a better approach than trail & error.
So I would like , upon an astrometry measuring completion, to read out the frame rotation angle (which is a by-product of astrometry ) .
When I do the astrometry stuff, there is a short display that gives pointing error but I couldn't manage to display the rotation angle.
Is there any smart way to display the rotation?

Re: mesure frame rotation angle
Hi,
the rotation angle is shown in the green notification bar at the top when the plate solving result is shown - if you miss it, you can re-show previous notifications from the 'View' menu.
The angle is shown in the form 'up is XX.X degrees E of N' - that means that the upward direction in the image is pointing in the sky direction 'XX degrees east of north'. If the degrees value is zero then up is pointing to the NCP, if it's 90 then up is pointing east, and so on.
Hope this helps,
Robin

Sorry, not trying to hijack post, I just can’t for the life of me figure out how to add a post in a new thread…
Has there been a feature added for resuming an imaging session from a previous night, using a goto feature of some sort? Just so I can mitigate a large error from the previous imaging session to the new session.
Kind regards,
Connor

Hi Connor,
yes, one way to do this is to use the 'Goto Image' tool from the tools menu - you can use that to select a saved image from the previous session, SharpCap will plate solve that image to get the exact co-ordinates and then move the GOTO telescope to those co-ordinates for you. If you have an electronic rotator device, it can also use that to get the orientation of the camera to match the previous session.
Hope this helps,
