Hi Robin,
Since several version of SC , I have the issue that when I end a stack (with automatic save of as seen etc...) it seems to try to overwrite the saved data when I do something else after ending the stacking like for example focus assistant etc.. Then I have a message that the file xxxxx already exist .
It seems as if the stacking process was still working somewhere not totally ended.
The result of this is the view as seen is black and useless when the .fits, and with adjustement pictures are ok. That oblige me to do a "save as seen " manually before ending my stack else I don't have the final result that is all black.
I will try to do a screenshot next time it occurs.
Regards
Olivier

Re: automatic save as seen overidden by another save as seen
Hi Olivier,
I was looking at a similar issue over the weekend where using the 'Goto Target' tool after closing live stacking was still trying to resave live stacking and causing that sort of problem. I *think* I've fixed that, although I couldn't quite get the same error to happen in testing as the one I had seen when observing, so not 100% sure.
From the point of view of overwriting - do make sure you have the most recent version of SharpCap. Recent versions refuse to overwrite existing saved files, which at least means that a second, incorrect, attempt to save the stack does not cause images to be lost (you will get an orange warning that the file couldn't be saved though).
I will check in detail about the save of the 'as seen' when live stacking is closed, as that is an obvious bug I think.
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin,
I have the last version (14/10). So I recevied that message with a confirmation. I always reply no to question do you want to overwrite. But it creates a kind of incertitude on having the correct version saved or not at the end
Kind regards
Olivier

Re: automatic save as seen overidden by another save as seen
Hi Olivier,
try the 21/10 version - I added some more checks to try to prevent the duplicate save, although I'm still not 100% convinced that I understand fully the situation that causes it to happen, since the existing checks looked like they should have been sufficient...
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin ,
It seems it works. I have not yet experimented that save issue after I ended a stack , goto another target and restart stacking.
Kind regards
Olivier
