You can do it manually, not with 1 but 2 digits.
Use this for it in the manually file edit: {Index:2}. You'll then get GAMCASS_01, GAMCASS_02, GAMCASS_03, ==> , GAMCASS_10, GAMCASS_11, etc.
The number behind Index can be 2 to 7.
But it can have an disadvantage with sorting, depending on the software used.
When there are no zeroes in front, the sorting can get mixed up.

That's the correct part in the settings, yes.
And no, {Index:1} will not work. {Index:2} till {Index:7} will work.
Robin can tell more but I presume that if you could use {Index:1}, then the counting would stop (or start over) once 9 is reached.
That might also be the case with {Index:2}: than you have a 2 digit index number and it might be that the counting stops (or starts over) once you reach 99.

Oh but that would be more than enough for me.
In reality, I need this file nomination for stellar spectrum processing software.
Since we only need less than 10 takes, this could be beneficial in terms of time spent renaming each file.
I'm going to try with index 1 and I'll put my result.
This can be useful to other SCPro users who practice spectroscopy
You are welcome
And I stand corrected: just did test and it seems that {Index:1} works just fine. At least, the example text is showing the file with just 1 digit.
So it looks that the 1 digit works too.

It is a little bit confusing ... Robin added the "1" capability for me (and you) for 1 or 2 years ago.
But, the help text shows only the start with index "2".
The files will be numbered from "xxx_1" to "xxx_9" and continue with "xxx_10" and so much as necessary
