Sharpcap opens but doesn't appear on screen but is shown as minimized. When I hover over the minimized task bar ICON a small blank window appears and clicking on the windows does nothing. I can click the X to close the window which closes Sharpcap but starting the program again just does the same thing.
I have a Windows 10 Pro workstation. Sharpcap is installed on a BeeLink mini computer with Windows 11 Pro that is mounted to my Telescope's Celestron AVX mount; I remote desktop into the BeeLink computer using Microsoft Windows RDS Client (Remote Desktop Service); been doing that for 5 months. Not often but occasionally sharpcap loads and doesn't displaying any UI; just black screen or nothing. I have run RDS (Remote Desktop Service) in single monitor, dual monitor, use all monitor configuration but nothing I do will present the user interface. I started Sharpcap holding the CTRL key down, I did a Repair in Programs and Settings. I give up. I'll uninstall and reinstall. Hopefully that will clear the issue but this seems to happen often and I'd love to know what the cause is and/or how to prevent it.
My Rig: Celestron AVX Mount, SCT C6" OTA, ZWO ASI678MM, Celestron Focus Motor.
I use Celestron CPWI and ASCOM drivers from ZWO.
SharpCap controls the mount through the CPWI.
Sorry to bother you. Love your software; I'd be lost without it.
Thank you.
Michael

Re: SharpCap User Interface Missing.
I figured it out. After reinstalling Sharpcap I had the same issue. Sharpcap was minimized and would not maximize when clicking on it's ICON. I finally figured out the Maximize option was offered by right mouse clicking on the minimized ICON and clicking 'maximize'. Then the UI (user interface opened. That should happen just by single clicking the minimized task bar icon; but it don't.
Problem solved.

Re: SharpCap User Interface Missing.
Hi Michael,
I'm wondering if what is happening is that SharpCap is starting with the main window completely off screen for some reason. It's supposed to check for that sort of situation and not reload the previous window position if it is entirely off screen, but maybe there is set of circumstances where the window is fully hidden but it's not being detected as such.
If the window is lost offscreen then minimize/restore will not do anything, but Maximise might work, or you can recover an off-screen window by selecting 'Move' from the right-click menu, then pressing one of the direction keys once, then moving the mouse. The press of the direction key puts the window into 'move' mode, then it should follow mouse movements.
cheers,
Robin

Thank you for that tip. I should have know that since I use to teach Microsoft products (35 years ago). Guess I'm getting rusty.
